Over John

I am an international primary school teacher with over 25 years' experience working in top international and British schools. Having a degree in English, I am also able to provide tuition for English students of all ages. I have also taught music in primary schools. I am offering extra lessons for all primary school subjects and for English at any level.

Motivatie

I am a motivated and inspiring teacher who is able to identify the specific challenges students face. I am extremely patient and able to work carefully and systematically to help students understand the learning matter. With over 25 years' experience in teaching, I have a detailed understanding of the learning process and techniques required to achieve success. I believe that a happy and relaxed student learns best and I do my best to achieve that with my students. I have a great deal of experience with students with special needs and have received many compliments and recommendations for my work with special needs students.

Mijn aanpak

The first step is to identify what specifically needs to be taught and to look at the knowledge and learning that has preceded it. It is important to build on existing knowledge. Once this is identified, it may be necessary to go back many steps in order to fill any learning gaps. It is important to get feedback from the student, parents, teachers, lecturers, etc. and to look at the lesson material used in order to understand how it presents and builds the lesson material. It is also important to create my own resources and lesson materials that help the student to better access and understand the lesson content. Having a knowledge of the student's learning style also helps when preparing supplementary resources. I am extremely patient, nurturing, caring and creative. These qualities help me to be an excellent tutor.
