Motivatie
I’m very passionate about teaching because it makes me truly motivated to keep learning and to put my knowledge into practice. I am an efficiency-driven, energetic, multi-lingual and organized professional with outstanding people skills. I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English as I started learning English since the age of 8 and graduated from college with a Bachelor in English as a Second Language. In addition, I completed summer courses in Houston, Texas to improve my English skills. Since November 2016, I have been taking Dutch classes in Lokeren and Dendermonde. I can speak the language rather well up to a level of higher intermediate (B2). Moreover, I can speak basic German. I am sure that my language skills will benefit the students. Furthermore, my bachelor helped me develop communication, presentation, and relationship building skills. I enjoy helping people and understanding their needs is also very important for me. After all, teaching is all about helping students in the best possible way just like customer service is. In addition, I had a few internships where I had to teach English to University students and where I supported the professor. I wrote lesson plans, tracked the students' progress and prepared presentations for lectures. These experiences gave me the opportunity to evolve into a good team player, become more collaborative and adapt to different teaching styles. I enjoy working with other people and discuss different methods to improve my work.
