Over Lisa
I am an American who is finishing their studies in Belgium. I ended up here because my father is Belgian, while my mother is Taiwanese. My first language is English but I am also fluent in Dutch and have a good comprehension of Mandarin Chinese. I did a gap year in China to teach Chinese, not only was it an amazing year, it taught me many things about being a leading figure, work life and culture differences.
Motivatie
I am someone who is rather result orientated so I love to personally see the growth my students have made. On top of that, despite being younger than me, I often find kids inspiring and great outside of the box thinkers. They are always full of surprises!
Mijn aanpak
I am extremely flexible with what content is taught, I give the preference on the parents and kids. This means there are not only different areas that can be focused on (reading comprehension, speaking, listening, or writing) but also different topics (daily language, politics, etc). I personally believe that speaking and listening are to be focused on, seeing how they are what are used the most in real life situations.
